Dilek Canbakal
Background: I was born in Turkey but grew up in MN. I’m an only child but am blessed with friends that have become family. My days where I go to a coffee shop by myself are my favorite days but I love doing activities with my friends! I have a Pomeranian who is super spoiled. I love being a BA! And my goal is to work in data science one day.
Fun facts about Dilek:
- What’s the most unusual place you have visited? Colosseum in Rome not unusual but was super sad to visit and learned about the history
- What’s the most unusual thing in your desk drawer? Currently working from my kitchen table. Studio life 😂
- Fact that few people know about you? I have a selfie with Ricky Martin- met him at a chocolate shop in NYC
- Fact that most people know about you I’m Turkish- I talk about it 24/7 😂
- Best quote or saying that you like to live by or that inspires you? Reach for the moon, if you can’t you will land among the stars.
- Describe yourself in 3 words? Energetic, motivated, foodie
- What do you enjoy doing to relieve stress? Having a me day with a coffee and a croissant
- What do you think you will be doing 20 years from now? Hopefully be financially independent and HAPPY!
- What are you going to do when you retire? Travel and still work in tech as a passion (hopefully doing super technical things)
- What is one word that you would use to describe your team? Experienced!
- What’s the greatest bit of advice a parent or mentor has given you? My mother- “even if you’re cleaning the bathroom make sure it’s superb work!”
- Who was your favorite teacher in school and how did s/he impact you? My econ professor who taught me that taxes weren’t bad!
- At which store you would like to max out your credit card? Nordstrom!
- Who inspires you? My dad
- Who would you most like to swap places with for a day? POTUS- to get an inside look on all things gov related
- What's the best compliment you have ever received? Any compliment is fine. I love compliments 😂
- If you could change something in the world, what would it be? Stop all wars.
